WCW has been dead a buried for nearly 20 years and people tend to look back on the promotion with negativity, but not me. WCW was created in 1988 when Ted Turner (owner of TBS, TNT, and CNN bought Jim Crockett promotions. The company went through many incarnations until it was purchased by Vince McMahon in 2001. WCW had its ups and downs due to mismanagement but the wrestlers always delivered.
My all time favorite WCW match is Sting vs Ric Flair from Great American Bash 90. Ws it the greatest match in WCW history? No but much like music and movies, the match take me back to a place and time in my life. I rented that tape so many times as a 7 year old that eventually my dad connected two VCRs together and just made a copy of it.

Rey Mysterio vs Eddie Guerrero Halloween Havoc 97
The greatest match in WCW history in my opinion is Rey vs Eddie from Halloween Havoc 97. This was just a throw away undercard match on a PPV where the main event was Piper vs Hogan in a cage, which is probably one of the worst matches in WCW history. Thats WCW in a nutshell.
