ESPN’s Ariel Helwani is reporting that Bellator is cancelling its next three events due to the coronavirus outbreak. Which means we will not be seeing the much anticipated Gegard Mousasi-Douglas Lima bout.
Yesterday, the federal government extended its guidelines limiting travel, movement and mass gatherings until April 30th, which would be before the events were set to take place. Bellator President Scott Coker has take a very opposite approach to that of Dana White in dealing with this virus. Just last month he cancelled an event just hours prior to bell time amid concerns for not only his fighters, but the rest of his employees.
Still no word as to whether or not the company plans to reschedule the events.
