AEW’s Jake Hager Books Return to MMA at Bellator 250

According to MMA Junkie, Jake Hager (2-0), the current AEW star and member of Chris Jericho’s “Inner Circle” is set to return to the Bellator Cage on October 29th against undefeated Heavyweight Brandon Calton.

Bellator 250 will air on CBS Sports Network next Thursday from the Mohegan Sun arena. Hager’s last fight was a no-contest after he delivered massive knee strikes to the balls of Anthony Garrett back in September 2019. After the fight he began incorporating groin strikes in to his pro wrestling matches. Not really sure what to expect here as I am unfamiliar with Calton, but Bellator has a tendency of feeding celebrity fighters and big name fighters tomato cans in order to make them look good.

The main event will see a Middleweight Title bout featuring champ Gerard Mousasi vs Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima in a champion vs champion super fight. Here’s the featured card via MMA Junkie:

  • Gegard Mousasi vs. Douglas Lima – for the Bellator middleweight title
  • Sabah Homasi vs. Bobby Voelker
  • Cody Law vs. Orlando Ortega
  • Johnny Eblen vs. Taylor Johnson
  • Nick Newell vs. Zach Zane
  • Brandon Carlton vs. Jake Hager
