Preview: Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr & How to Watch

The long anticipated exhibition bout between two of the greatest boxers of all time, Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jr takes place tonight on FITE Tv.

The 54 year old Tyson, the legendary knockout artist returns to the ring for the first time in over a decade for an exhibition fight that likely would have broken all boxing records had it taken place in both mens primes. Jones is one of the greatest pound for pound fighters ever and has multiple world titles in multiple weight classes including heavyweight. While this bout is not sanctioned and the fighters are not allowed to go for the kill so-to-speak due to California regulations, the spectacle surrounding the event and the names involved should produce plenty of fireworks. As far as skills go, the 51 year old Jones is the more skilled of the two fighters and has legendary defense. Jones never really retired and fought just last year but has taken a beating as of late and his quickness and speed have greatly diminished. That being said, and there’s technically not going to be a winner, this is a showcase fight for Tyson and I fully expect him to take the “decision” from the “judges”.

The co-main features Youtube sensation Jake Paul, who has a 1-0 record, is an unbelievable draw and specializes in celebrity bouts, taking on former NBA all star and legendary slam dunk contest winner Nate Robinson. Paul has sneaky good skills for a celebrity fighter but Robinson, who is making his pro debut, is a top level athlete so this could get interesting. Paul has been training for years and is an underrated athlete, I could see him getting the nod here.

Another interesting note is that former heavyweight champ Hasim Rahman’s son Hasim Rahman Jr is on the card looking to makw the world take notice. Heres the full card:

Badou “The Ripper” Jack (22-3-3) vs Blake “The Beast” McKernan (13-0-0)
