The Young Bucks Discuss the IMPACT & AEW Partnership.

With everything that transpired on yesterdays AEW Dynamite episode involving a partnership between IMPACT Wrestling and AEW Dynamite, Several stars voiced their excitement on the potential crossover opportunities that can take place, The EVPs of AEW Wrestling did not shy from their excitement on the Living The Gimmick podcast.

“I’ll tell you this, two years ago this was something that Nick and I brought up that we wanted to get this going, and for whatever reason it just didn’t work out. I don’t know if that was more on our side, or what, but we just couldn’t agree to what the creative would be. When Nick and I were stopping and popping up at the indie shows and going to AAA in Mexico that was one of the suggestions we had, ‘what if we showed up in Impact?’”

“This is something we’ve been whispering in Tony Khan’s ears for two years. It’s a lot of collaboration and partnering with everybody and working together this is what we’ve always done.”

Personal Take: While watching the deep connections between both companies respective power figures namely: AEW: (Young Bucks, Omega, Jericho and to a certain degree, Cody) and IMPACT (Don Callis and Scott D’Amore); I’ve always wondered why the representatives from both sides did not pull the trigger initially in January 2019 with how deeply oriented their personal relationships were. I’ve always suspected it could’ve happened if only Tony Khan signed off on it, as he holds the deciding factor which seemed to be confirmed. Nevertheless, this is a welcoming development for IMPACT as it seems the Young Bucks are equally excited at this opportunity as evident on their twitter.
