According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, AEW officials have decided not to pursue Tessa Blanchard. Tessa was released by IMPACT in July after failing to come terms on a new contract and refusing to send in promos for her scheduled match at Slammiversary.
With AEW out of the picture and WWE seemingly not beating down her door either, that money IMPACT was offering is probably looking pretty good right about now. Tessa would have bolstered an AEW women’s division that could have used her but she is more trouble than shes worth there. You have to now wonder what her options are. ROH has been trying to get their women’s division off the ground for a couple years and could be an option. MLW still doesnt have a division. Who knows when or if NWA will come back. For my money, a triumphant return to IMPACT would be her best option at this point, but it will never be the same again for her.
