IMPACT Wrestling is back in the Showbuzz Top 150 after essentially being on a hiatus the last two weeks with Best of Shows. The January 5th episode of IMPACT came in at number 140 with 148K total viewers and and a 0.04 rating in the key 18-49 demo. This is down 16% from their last “real” episode from Dec 15th, which recorded 177K viewers. Its down roughly 35% from the December 8th episode, which featured Kenny Omega’s debut.
Mike’s Take: I think taking two weeks off was not the best idea, especially heading in to a PPV. Viewers are creatures of habit. This weeks episode had a big main event featuring two of their most enduring stars, however it was not enough to regain some steam. They are still using footage from the episodes taped in November and will resume tapings on January 16th, starting with Hard to Kill.
