ESPN’s Ariel Helwani is reporting that the Heavyweight Title rematch between Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou is tentatively scheduled for March 27 on PPV. Helwani also states that Alexander Volkanovski will defend the Featherweight title against Brian Ortega on the same show.
Mike’s Take: I’m excited for the Stipe-Ngannou rematch although I do not see it going much differently than the their first bout, where Stipe laid an ungodly beatdown on Ngannou. Many thought Ngannou would never be the same after, and hit next fight against Derrick Lewis made it seem like that were the case. However he rattled off some big wins as of late. Stipe is far more skilled but has been knocked out before, and no one in the heavyweight division has more knockout power than Ngannou.
